Dakshayani Talkies is a production house, founded by Hemanth M Rao, following the success of his critically acclaimed directorial films, 'Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu' (2016), 'Kavaludaari' (2019), 'Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side A'  (2023) and 'Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side B' (2023)

 

Dakshayani Talkies aims to produce content-rich films, create memorable cinematic experiences and promote the art of storytelling that moves people.

Hemanth M Rao

Founder

Hemanth M Rao, an engineer turned filmmaker, made his directorial debut with the Kannada film Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu in 2016. The film received positive reviews and performed well at the box office, later being remade in Tamil and Telugu. His second film, Kavaludaari, a neo-noir thriller, was released in 2019 and also found similar success being remade in Tamil and Telegu as well.

In addition to directing, Hemanth collaborated with Sriram Raghavan as a writer on Andhadhun, his first project in Hindi. The film was well-received and earned him a National Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

In 2023, he directed the two-part romantic drama
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, with Side A released on September 1 and Side B on November 17. Both films were praised for their storytelling and performances. Hemanth brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to producing compelling cinematic narratives.

 

He is currently working on his latest project, Bhairavana Kone Paatha, a period action drama set in medieval India, marking his first collaboration with actor Shivarajkumar.
